The Mississippi Attorney General is suing insurance compaines who won't pay out to victims of katrina. I think we can all say we saw this one coming. Insurance compaines have made it their business to a). collect money from consumers and b). avoid paying out claims as much as possible. While this isn't unusual I do think that the insurance companies should hold some responsibility in helping out these victims particularly in Mississippi where its nearly impossible to determine whether the damage can be fully attributed to wind or flooding. In these cases, the paying consumer should receive the benefit of the doubt.
