In an effort to raise money for Hurricane Katrina relief efforts, the blogosphere has announced "Blog for Relief" day. There are many charities popping up in support of Hurricane Katrina relief and Instapundit has a full list of charities that is growing by the hour. I recommend using the Mercy Corps..

Before donating to any charities be sure to check their validity at the Better Business Bureau's give.org. For a list of confirmed valid charities for Hurricane Katrina Check out their list.

UPDATE: The Blog for Relief effort has been extended throughout the weekend. I'll continue to keep this at the top over the weekend.
